Rehabilitation:
Rehabilitation is fundamentally based on the premise that everyone has a natural desire and right to be an authority on their own health care. This differentiates between acute care and rehabilitation in that acute care is focused on a person's survival, whereas rehabilitation is focused on educating and teaching people to be able to carry out everyday activities on their own, developing self-care and functional independence. A rehabilitation process enables the impaired person to perform better and live in a better environment. The addition of a ramp, elevator, or handrail to a disabled person's surroundings is an example of such an improvement. Physical, occupational, and pain management therapy are all part of the rehabilitation process.

Acupuncture:
A therapist of acupuncture (therapy that uses thin needles inserted through the skin at specific points on the body to control pain and other symptoms). Acupuncture is a type of complementary and alternative medicine. Traditional Chinese acupuncture involves the insertion of incredibly tiny needles into the skin at certain "acupoints." This may lessen pain by generating endorphins, the body's natural analgesics, and by altering the region of the brain in charge of serotonin, a brain chemical associated to mood. Acupuncture points are said to activate the central nervous system. As a result, chemicals are then released into the brain, spinal cord, and muscles. The body's innate ability to heal itself may be activated by these metabolic changes, which would promote both physical and mental wellbeing.

A severe head injury known as a traumatic brain injury (TBI) has the potential to alter the mind's normal capacity. When the head is accidentally or purposefully injured by any sharp objects, the skull is pricked and the brain tissue is attacked. Eliminating coagulated blood, repairing skull breaks, and relieving skull strain are all parts of emergency TBI treatment. TBI can occur in many different ways, including through haemorrhage, skull break, diffuse axonal damage, and EDEMA. Traumatic brain injuries are typically divided into two categories by doctors: closed wounds and open (or entering) wounds. Traumatic brain injury that don't shatter the skull are indicated by "shut wounds." Conversely, open wounds occur when the skull bone fractures or is penetrated, exposing the brain to the environment.

They assist these individuals in acquiring, regaining, maintaining, and improving the abilities required for working and daily living. Physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) are fundamentally different from one another in that the former focuses on helping patients move better while the latter does so by helping them conduct activities of daily life.

Covid-19 & Post-Acute Rehabilitation:
As patients go from the acute phase to the post-acute Rehabilitation phase, physiotherapists are crucial to their recovery. Each person's COVID-19 effects will be unique, and each person's rehabilitation requirements will be tailored to those effects, such as long-term ventilation, immobilisation, deconditioning, and related impairments in the areas of the respiratory system, nervous system, and musculoskeletal system. Patients with COVID-19 frequently appear with pre-existing comorbidities, and the patient's rehabilitation approach must take this into account. Physiotherapists who practice in different fields should collaborate and benefit from one another's experience. The interdisciplinary team will be essential in supporting the transition from the acute to the post-acute phase through service delivery pathways. Comorbidities, direct lung trauma, and COVID-19-related injuries to other organs and systems are all factors to consider when developing a rehabilitation plan for COVID-19 survivors.
